Hello there, and welcome back to another episode of Money Script Monday. My name is Dan Tatulli.
Today, we're going to be talking about a quick guide to monetizing Money Script Monday videos.
I would be remissed if I didn't mention that this is the 100th episode of Money Script Monday. We made it.
It's a little close to two years right now. And really what I just wanted to do before this video is just really thank you.
The feedback that we've gotten, we're getting more and more subscribers each and every week. It's a great feeling. You guys are sharing these videos more.
So, we can't do this without you. We definitely appreciate it. And thank you very much for that.
When I was creating this video, I was thinking, trying to go over some topics, maybe we could talk about some stats along the way, and how many shares we've gotten, and how many subscribers we have.
But really, at the end of the day, that's not going to help you grow your business.
So, I wanted to just kind of change that around and really talk about the best practices top advisors are using to monetize these Money Script Monday videos.
Then, really just provide you with a quick checklist, a quick go-to as far as the most popular episodes.
"Okay, I've got the practices, now how do I implement this sort of stuff?"
You're going to want to watch this episode and you're going to want to stay tuned to the end because I'm going to be showing you a way to really be a part of these future Money Script Monday videos.
With that, let's get started.
Best Practices
First, the best practices.
Number one, create a branded page. If you haven't done so already, this is super important.
You're on this page right now, you're watching my video, you see the LifePro logo up there in the corner, our information is everywhere.
However, with a lot of these Money Script Monday videos, we could brand these pages towards you.
So, your logo, your information. We have a contact form on the page that goes to your email inbox.
If you're unsure about how to create these things or want a refresher, reach out to your FSR, and make sure that they have your profile picture and all that good stuff.
They'll start sending you your branded pages.
That's number one because that's super important because that's going to help you just kind of send these videos out and really monetize them.
The next one, send them before the appointment. Top advisors are sending these videos out.
It's kind of like flipped education. Where instead of, I'm sure in those first appointments, you spend, probably like half of the time, maybe even the majority of the time, talking about the product, and the benefits, and potential riders.
You're really just trying to get them up to speed, up to your level, right?
So, advisors are sending these videos out before the appointment so that the clients come in much more aware that they're able to really engage with you then.
The discussions become more of a conversation versus you just telling them about the product.
Next one is, send after the appointment. If you've done before the appointment or want to try another strategy, sending after the appointment has been a great way for our advisors.
This just kind of reinforces the notion of what you talked about during the appointment.
As well as if anything, gives the client affirmation of what they're doing is the right decision that they're moving forward with you on.
So, send the videos after the appointment too.
The one I love is the reengagement email series. So, most advisors, hopefully, you do too, have an assistant that can kind of help you out with all that day-to-day operational stuff.
Those people are sending these videos out each and every month to their email database, their CRM.
We've done the heavy lifting. We created the content, assistants are just copying and pasting.
It's there for your use. Copy paste the content, put it in an email, hyperlink it to your branded page and start sending these communications out to really stay at the top of people's mind for that.
Lastly, share to social media.
There's no denying that digital marketing is certainly taking a toll on the industry right now.
If you're looking for content and you're looking to post on your social media pages, again, use these videos.
We optimize this stuff so that when you paste your branded link, the thumbnail pops up, all the contents there.
Top advisors are leaving their thoughts, or comments, or their review on the video to really start that conversation with the people on social media.
These are definitely some of the best practices to be doing for the second half of this year.
If you're looking at this and saying, "Okay. Dan, great. I have these things so I'm going to start implementing a few of them. What episode should I be focusing on?"
That's what I wanted to share right now. These are the most popular episodes that we've seen and ones that we recommend you start using right away.
Most Popular Episodes
Keep in mind, there's five specific topics within Money Script Monday: life insurance, annuities, investments, concepts, and then the last one is the sales and marketing.
Keep in mind, sales and marketing is for financial professionals. So, it's for you. Don't be sharing those videos.
If you see the little graphic saying, "sales and marketing," that's for you, specifically. Everything else, all of these other episodes right here are consumer friendly.
Actually, 75% of the videos that we produce are consumer-friendly so you can start sending these out to your consumers right away.
I'm not going to go over all of these in great detail. I'm just going to rattle them off right now.
If you're interested in learning more and you actually want to go back to those episodes, I will have all of these in links below.
If you're liking one of these episodes, scroll down and click on the link, and that'll take you right to the episode.
First, if you're looking to grow your life insurance business this year, episode #43. This is how to properly fund a max funded IUL policy. So, super great video there.
#47 is the high charges. Obviously, costs and charges has been really the number one objection for IUL. So, the high charges of IUL, there's a great video in there that illustrates that.
#69, 401Ks vs IULs. This has been a very highly debated topic. Brian does a great job in the video.
Really, not saying one's better than the other, but just honestly, looking at the two and going over pros and cons of each one. So, Episode #69, 401K vs IUL.
Moving on to annuities on Episode #3, the 4% rule.
Episode #38, this is the four retirement risks. So, this sets up the notion for annuities, but really talks about the need for a guaranteed source of income.
#78, Adam does a great job in this video, talking about a specific strategy of how you can guarantee a portion of your retirement income.
Moving on, investments. This is where Robert Reaburn spends most of his time.
He's the Portfolio Manager for our RIA, which is LifePro Asset Management.
#8 an alternative to bonds. It's actually annuities are the alternative to bonds, but he discussed so much about the investment landscape, we had to put it in that column there.
#41, my personal favorite, it's redefining the financial planning process.
This is just talking about how the model has flipped and what we need to do is secure that base level first, and then look towards growing our assets and the surplus within it.
Episode #63, alternative to the buy and hope strategy. This is specifically talking about LifePro Asset Management's tactical strategy.
Moving on to the concept phase, this is Episode 18. Five ways to pay for college.
#48, college funding with IUL. That's been a super popular one there. Gabe does a great job explaining that.
And a latecomer, Episode number 90. This is talking about social security, how to get the most out of your Social Security benefits.
Moving on, again, this is the sales and marketing now, so if you're looking to kind of sharpen your tool, here's some episodes for you.
#20, how to share the Money Script Monday videos.
Again, now that you have that branded page, how do you log in? What's the buttons you click? How do you get that on social media? Episode #20, lays that all out.
#79, sell process, not product. Great one.
Kevin explains to you that you shouldn't be walking in, talking about IULs or annuities, you should really be selling a process, a proprietary process over the product.
Episode #91, that was mine, so I included that one in there. This is how to answer the question, so what do you do? Super relevant.
It's the first question everybody gets asked when they're starting a conversation. So, Episode 91 will help you answer that.
That's all the popular videos there. I do hope that you take advantage of, not only this video, but start using this stuff, start implementing these best practices.
Lastly, I just want to finish off with how you could help us grow Money Script Monday.
There is a button below that, it's actually a link to a survey.
We're always interested in hearing about new topics and new things that we should be doing along the way.
You have the opportunity to tell us if there's a specific video that you're looking for, that you would just knock it out of the park with.
Click on that button and fill out the short survey and send it to us because we could actually create that video for you in the coming months.
Once again, I hope you appreciated this video. Thank you for 100 episodes, and here's to 100 more. Thank you.
